Highball glass

Bar Spoon
Citrus peeler
- 2 oz bourbon
- 4 oz club soda or ginger beer for a twist
- lemon slice or twist for garnish optional
Fill a highball glass with ice, using big cubes if you can since they melt slower.
Pour in 2 oz of bourbon and let it sit for a few seconds so the ice can chill the whiskey.
Add 4 oz of club soda, pouring gently and close to the glass to keep the bubbles strong.
Stir once or twice with a bar spoon to mix without losing the fizz, then garnish with a lemon twist.
Tips:
If you want a little extra spice, try using ginger beer instead of club soda. You can also adjust the ratio. Add more soda if you like your drink lighter, or pour in a bit more bourbon for a stronger kick. Make it just the way you like it.
