El Diablo Cocktail Recipe
The El Diablo is one of those cocktails that keeps us coming back. It’s bold, refreshing, and strikes the perfect balance between spicy and sweet. We mix reposado tequila with tart lime juice, crème de cassis, and a splash of spicy ginger beer to pull it all together. It looks gorgeous in the glass and tastes even better.

- 1.5 oz Reposado Tequila
- 0.5 oz Crème de Cassis
- 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 3 oz Ginger Beer
- Garnish: Lime wedge or lime wheel
Grab your highball glass and fill it with fresh ice. Big cubes are best since they melt slowly.
In a shaker, add tequila, lime juice, and crème de cassis. Toss in some ice and give it a solid shake for about 10 to 15 seconds.
Pour the shaken mix into your prepared glass over the ice.
Slowly add the ginger beer. We like to pour it gently over the back of a spoon to get that layered effect.
Use a bar spoon to mix it just a little, keeping those layers intact.
Finish with a lime wedge on the rim or drop a lime wheel right into the drink.
