Ingredients

  • 1 oz white rum
  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz coconut rum optional for a tropical twist
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • 1/2 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 oz grenadine
  • maraschino cherry, lime slice or orange wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in white rum, dark rum, coconut rum (optional), pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, and grenadine. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  • Fill a highball glass with fresh ice and strain the mixture into the glass.
  • Add a maraschino cherry, lime slice, or orange wedge for garnish, give it a quick stir, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Coconut rum brings a tropical twist, but you can skip it for a more traditional punch.
  • We love pineapple juice for its tropical flair, but mango or passion fruit juice can be fun alternatives.
  • Grenadine adds sweetness and color. For a less sweet version, try pomegranate juice.
  • Adjust rum proportions to your liking. More dark rum means a stronger, richer flavor.
  • Make pineapple juice ice cubes to avoid diluting your drink as they melt.
  • Balance sweetness by tweaking grenadine or lime juice amounts. Start with less, then add more to taste.
  • For a party, scale up the recipe and serve in a pitcher. Just multiply ingredients by the number of servings.
