Scotch and Soda Cocktail Recipe
This classic Scotch and Soda is crisp, bubbly, and easy to enjoy. You still get the full character of the Scotch whisky, but the club soda makes it lighter and more refreshing. You can also adjust the amount of soda depending on how strong or easygoing you want the drink to be.

Cuisine American
- 2 oz Scotch whisky
- 4 oz club soda to top
- 1 lemon twist for garnish optional
Fill a highball glass with ice
Pour 2 oz Scotch whisky over the ice
Top with 4 oz club soda
Stir gently with a bar spoon for a few seconds
Twist the lemon peel over the glass, then drop it in
That’s it. The Scotch to soda ratio can change the flavor quite a bit, so feel free to adjust it based on what you like. If you want a stronger drink, use less soda. If you want something lighter and easier to sip, add a little more.
In general, less soda works better when you’re using a premium single malt. More soda usually makes more sense with a budget-friendly blend when you want a longer, more relaxed drink.
